Screw type print terminals have been tried and tested for quite a number of years now and it is hard to imagine the printed circuit board without them. Available are the wire-protection, eccentric- top and strain-relief-clamp-principles. All of them are based on modular designs with two-pole and three-pole individual terminals which can be converted into multi-pole terminal block by using dovetail connections. This allows for flexible and economical inventory management. In addition, some series also provide “block design“ versions with a non-variable number of poles ranging from 2 to 12 which are specially suited for long pole applications.
Both the tension- and leg-spring-principles are available as alternatives. Due to their technical design, these principles are highly suited for extreme conditions such as heavy vibrations, a corrosive ambience and extreme fluctuations in temperature. The springs are operated by means of a screwdriver, actuation tools or lever. Constantly high clamping forces and good electric values can be achieved owing to perfect material quality
